Welcome to Ricardo's by Cucina Higala, a gastronomic gem nestled along the Camp Philips - Dahilayan Rd in picturesque Libona, Bukidnon. This charming restaurant is more than just a dining establishment; it's a sanctuary for food lovers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life while savoring delightful dishes surrounded by nature's embrace.
Upon entering Ricardo's, you're greeted with a warm ambiance that combines rustic charm with modern comforts. The expansive layout caters to large gatherings, making it a perfect spot for celebrations, family outings, or intimate dinners alike. Patrons often describe the restaurant as having a coherence in its design, evoking a sense of tranquility reminiscent of Tagaytay's finest eateries.
But it's the cuisine that truly steals the show. Customers rave about the thoughtfully prepared dishes, like the fresh pompano—expertly cooked to eliminate any fishy taste and bursting with flavor. The care in preparation reflects a dedication to quality that’s evident in every bite. However, a few have noted that the ribs could be a tad more tender, yet this minor critique does little to overshadow the overall excellence of the menu.
One highlight of your experience at Ricardo's is the exceptional service. Guests have noted the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, with many recounting personal anecdotes that reveal a deeper connection to the place. For instance, one guest celebrated a birthday here, and even without prior notice, the staff surprised her with a cheerful rendition of "Happy Birthday." Such thoughtful touches create memorable dining experiences that keep patrons coming back.
Whether you’re drawn in by the stunning mountain views or the tantalizing flavors, Ricardo's by Cucina Higala promises a dining experience that is both fulfilling and refreshing. With great prices and a menu that showcases the best of local ingredients, it’s no wonder why this restaurant has become a beloved stop for both locals and visitors. Make sure to reserve a table and immerse yourself in the culinary wonders that await.

This place has that rustic feel of some restaurants in Tagaytay. We visited at night and was drizzling, so I can't say how this place is in broad daylight. The place is huge. It has a sitting capacity of a small city. The designs and the thingamabobs had coherence. The food was great too. The pompano was prepared well, and tasted fresh. Here's the thing, fish has to be prepared well and cooked properly to get that fishy thingy from the fish. You know what I mean. My tongue okayed the other food. However, just one tiny thing, I wish the ribs were a little bit more tender. The mark of a good restaurant for me is the serving of water even without a request to the waiting staff. They tick the box for this. Overall, the experience is worth repeating. Will definitely visit the place the next time I'm in town.

I celebrated my 24th birthday here. We came across this place on our way to Dahilayan and decided to stop by for a meal before heading home. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Even though we didn’t explicitly tell them it was my birthday, we ordered a cake, and to our surprise, the staff gathered to greet me with a cheerful "Happy Birthday." It caught me off guard and made me a bit shy, but I truly appreciated the gesture and had a great time. The food was delicious, and we’ll definitely return if we get the chance!

great service and ambience—we’re so used to bad customer service in the area that their staff really stood out. attentive waiters. fast responses. ambience is also excellent. rustic vibes. great mountain view. nice to have a solid conversation with friends and family. menu is varied enough to cater to different tastes. just to nitpick, our seafood chowder didnt taste like seafood though. tablea cake is highly recommended. coffee in general (i ordered mocha) not so much. palabok was lovely too (generous in chicharon, noodles, and sauce but lacking in shrimp flavor).

Delicious food and a very good atmosphere! A must-try is their kare-kare. The place is spacious enough to accommodate many guests and also provides ample parking space. However, waited more than 30 minutes for our orders to be served. Overall, our Ricardo's was great.
